La parodontite è un problema di salute pubblica globale; questo il risultato di un vasto lavoro di revisione di tutta la letteratura scientifica relativa all’associazione tra parodontite e mortalità, recentemente pubblicato negli Stati Uniti.

Da molti anni si indaga l’associazione tra malattie parodontali e lo sviluppo di malattie croniche letali. Qualche mese fa, il Journal of Dental Research ha pubblicato i risultati di un vasto lavoro che ha sistematicamente revisionato i risultati di tutti gli articoli scientifici pubblicati al riguardo.

L’obiettivo di tale revisione sistematica era quello di verificare se le persone con parodontite / edentulia (perdita di uno o più denti) fossero esposte ad un maggior rischio di mortalità rispetto a quelle senza parodontite / edentulia. A tale scopo sono stati presi in esame 57 studi, realizzando 155 meta-analisi che hanno coinvolto oltre 5.7 milioni di persone.

I risultati dimostrano come Fīrūzābād la parodontite e le sue conseguenze definitive (perdita di uno o più denti / edentulia), siano associate ad un buy cheap Seroquel with dr. prescription aumento del rischio di mortalità per lo sviluppo delle principali malattie croniche non trasmissibili che più frequentemente portano alla morte in tutto il mondo (malattie cardiovascolari, cerebrovascolari, coronariche, cancro e polmonite).
